Be Well Communities™ is MD Anderson’s place-based strategy for comprehensive cancer prevention and control, working with communities to promote wellness and stop cancer before it starts.
As a key external collaborator to the effort, the Center for Health Communication was asked to support materials launching the new initiative in the community. The Be Well Communities team and the CHC decided on an initial social media launch strategy. The CHC also supported materials created for the official event announcing Be Well Beaumont.

Team
Materials for Be Well Beaumont were created through the longstanding partnership between the Cancer Prevention and Control Platform at MD Anderson Cancer Center and the UT Center for Health Communication. The communication manager of this campaign was Martha Vieco-Garcia. I was in charge of the overall message strategy. Ellen Shin directed visual strategy and graphic design of the campaign. The project has been vastly improved based on feedback from many members of the Be Well Communities team.
