Since 2022, the UT Center for Health Communication has served multiple projects housed within MD Anderson’s Cancer Prevention and Control Platform. One of the CHC’s main functions is to build capacity of organizations that receive funding. The CHC has given many presentations and trainings related to health communication best practices and maximizing media channels. Below, some materials from these trainings are showcased.

Team
The Health Communication Assessment Tool and additional capacity-building materials were created through a collaboration of the Cancer Prevention and Control Platform and UT Center for Health Communication. The communication supervisor was Martha Vieco-Garcia. Catherine Cunningham, Ellen Shin, and I created the initial Health Communication Assessment Tool. The additional exercises were drafted by Saakshi Kamalahasan with feedback from me. Original presentation on maximizing media channels was created by me. Feedback and guidelines were provided by the Health Systems Strengthening team and other CHC team members.
